cool photographs

these photos are from two of my proof clients. i like them both for different reasons. and i thought it would be cool to share them with the internet. and also show another before and after.

first, this is reiko tsuchida's daughter, who made me giggle in every photograph i saw that included her. look at that smile!

and this is the daughter of sarah field. i loved what this photo looked like with a little color saturation. i love the way it is cropped and i love the colors of her jacket.

her photo was the most technically "off" yet. i am sure she wont mind me saying that. ;)haha. just wanted to show an example of what i did this morning.

had to postpone my shoot today-still feeling sick.

update on proof

hey everyone!

so things are going great with my new little venture. its so fun to see other families and other cute kiddos! thanks to everyone who has emailed me.

someone asked me if i would be using jinky's actions when i proofed your photos, and my initial thought was, yeah sure-if i think the picture calls for it....but then i thought wait a minute-maybe not. i wasnt sure if i felt right about it. like, maybe there is something shady about that....? so i wanted to check with her before i did anything. so i asked her about it and after talking, we dont think its any different then a pro photographer buying her actions, using them on their photos, and selling to clients.

so to re-answer that question, i will use her actions just like i would with my own photos or photos of clients-if i feel the picture can benefit from it!

sending me your files

i have been doing some research regarding zipping photo files. jpgs are already compressed, so zipping them is not going to make them much smaller (or easier to attach to email). but it is easier to zip your files together to create one file for me to download.

To send me your files: You will need to zip your photographs into one or more folders no larger than 100MB. (please do not send each file one at a time.) If you can't email that size file, use www.yousendit.com to send them to me.

important: IDENTIFY YOUR FILES WITH YOUR LAST NAME.

also important: NO FLASH PHOTOS.

if you will be using these images strictly for your photo albums or scrapbooks, resize them to 4x6 at 300dpi. if it is something you might enlarge, leave it the original size.

proof.

since i have been sick i havent taken any photos in a week. but i felt better two nights ago and jeff convinced me to go with him and the kids to the park. i went, and then felt even worse that night. but i did get some fun shots while i was there.

and...something i have been thinking about doing for a long time...i have been helping people with their images here and there, and i decided to go ahead and make it official. i am not sure how much interest i will have, so i am not sure how well i will be able to juggle this. so lets take it slow and see how it goes.
